My First Package from Big Sis Round 12 - totally spoiled!
So I am in the Dabbling Demo's Secret Sister Round 12 from SCS and loving it. Many of you know I recently quit my job to be with Maddy more, and I figured after skipping this past summer I was ready to spoil and be spoiled again. As you can see I was spoiled beyond belief from my Big Sis. Look at all these great goodies. I really love the altered frappacino bottle filled with the great candy corn. Then she also got me some of SU's clips, now to use them and not hoard them, something I am really great at (hoarding them that is). And I just adore the dum dum flowerpot, great idea, I can't wait to try one myself.
So here you go, my first entry in a while, but not my last. I have so many exciting things to share with you. I got a huge box of goodies from SU yesterday. I think my hubby tried not to faint as I kept pulling things out of the box to share with him. Unfortunuately, Maddy thought she should be sharing them as well, so I put it all back in the box and brought it to the basement, where I could savor things a little more easily. I have already managed to tear into most everything, mounted one stamp set already, made 4 cards from the new Holiday Simply Sent Kit and well you get the idea. I didn't mean to steal the spotlight from my Big Sis. So you will see more in the next post.

So you ask ...
Where the heck is Challenge #2, well that one is Challenging me. So I will have to work it out this week and post the details later. I do have my pictures printed and the theme is still GS Cookies and All About's, so I know what I am going to do, now just to crop and adhere it paper.
Challenge #3, Mni VSBN
Continuing with the Girl Scout Cookie theme, this time it was Do Si Do's. So for Challenge #3, it was all about sandwiches, notice how the center picture is "sandwiched" between the outer two .. So I decided to make a DPS (doubel Page Spread with Challenge #1) for Easter 2008 and Maddy's pretty new dress. Again using the SU Island Blossoms Kit, it was so easy to put this together.
Mini VSBN Challenge Day
Our lovely host, Lela aka LMN, decided to challenge us group of scrappers on Girl Scout Cookies.
So for Challenge #1, it was all about Samoas, and ultimately using layers. I decided to scrap Easter 2008 and the Big Egg Hunt.

Another card from my Big Sis
Isn't this just the best card ever. My big sis sent this to me and she managed to use so many of the new accessories featured in the Ocassions Mini. I really think she did a great job putting all of the elements together and I am so excited to share it with you!
The other reason I am excited to share it with you as well, is it means that my scanner is hooked up and working too!! We recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista, little did I know nothing would be compatible, but through some savvy googling this morning, I was able to get my ancient HP P1000 printer hooked up and my 10 year old scanner. I am back in business (hehe I didn't mean to hijack my own post, but I just can't stop beaming, I am so thrilled to have these things available again!)

Maddy visits the Easter Bunny
While Maddy has been spending time with her grandparents in Seattle, they decided to take her and her cousin Rylee to visit the Easter Bunny. Our little pumpkin looks so grown up compared to her cousin Rylee who is more than a year older than Maddy.
We sure do miss her!!

Water for Elephants ..
So I live in a new neighborhood, and luckily quite a few of the neighbors have become good friends, and great people to count on. Recently a few of us got together and had a game night, that night, the ladies decided to start a book club. We are having our first meeting Sunday, at a Granite City - not sure if the other ladies have been there, but I have and I think we will have a great time.
Well the book chosen was "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. If you have never read this book or even heard of it, I suggest you go check it out from your library, it is actually in high demand right now, so I had to wait a couple of weeks, but it was well worth it. I am normally more of a mystery/thriller, trashy romance kind of reader, oh and don't forget my favorite - Janet Evanovich, I can't wait to read "The Last Chapter", but anywho, I highly, highly recommend Water for Elephants. It was so engaging and so well written, I am hoping to read it again before we meet tomorrow night.
Well that's pretty much all I have to say for today, at least until I get more comfortable with this blogging thing :)

I think I may start to blog
Yesterday morning, I decided to give up my SU website in favor of a blog instead. I just found that it wasn't working for me, so hopefully I can use this vehicle instead to share my love of Stampin and Scrappin' with Stampin' Up! products.
So please bear with me as I learn how to use a blog effectively and efficiently to share my life and what I love most.
You will eventually find that much of my inspriation is gleaned from my favorite Stamping/Scrapping site http://www.splitcoaststampers.com affectionately known as SCS.
There I have met a lovely group of people, and enjoy sharing with others through having a Secret Sis and also joining in many of the thread forums and discussions regarding everything stamping and scrapping.
Enjoy, and I hope this will be a great tool for my customers as well.
