A Sweet Silhouette

Well I thought this card was way too pretty not to share.
I used a couple of different challenges on this one, a sketch and color combo challenge from SCS, and a technique challenge from the new Stampin' Connection site (available to SU demos only)
Well the sketch challenge is pretty straight forward. The colors we had to use were Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry and Chocolate Chip, along with a neutral. The technique challenge required the use of a Rub-On, which I decided to use the Chit Chat rubons from SU in chocolate chip.
Bottom layer is Rich razzleberry, with Pretty in Pink that was shimmer sprayed and then run through the Big Shot using the SU Backgrounds 1 texturz plate.

I then took one of the "pretties" flowers and with an aquapainter painted it Rich Razzleberry as well and stuck a Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button (Brad) though the center. This lays on top of the Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon.
Stamped with Pocket Silhouettes in Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry on Very Vanilla CS, used the ticket Corner punch, ran the edges around the Rich Razzleberry stamp pad, and popped up with the dimensionals.

I think it turned out beautifully!!!!

Tote-ally Tess is Tote-ally CUTE!!!

So this card features one of the new Stamp Sets in the 2010 Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini.

She is proving to be so much fun!!! This card was actually made for a swap, but I just couldn't resist sharing her with you and I think she has tons of great possibilities!!

This is also my first project using SU's new Cling Mount System, and boy is it great, such a space saver, and I love seeing how nice and neatly it stores. Plus no need for a SAMJ, the I "Heart" Stamps was actually stamped after I had stamped the purse, by just looking through the clear block. Perfect linup!

I also of course made "Shimmer Spray", which is a mixture of 70% rubbing alcohol and shimmer paint, for the Melon Mambo background piece.  I just love using this on all of my cards these days.

July Christmas Card Challenge Entry

Don't let the title fool you, I really am that far behind on the Christmas Card challenge I joined on SCS. But after playing with my new goodies and casing a card from the SU September SS magazine, I got it done. I just love the new Ornament Punch and matching stamp set, as well as the shimmer paints, they are so yummy. The new Texturz Plate - Perfect Details was a nice addition to give the piece of Soft Suede and the ornaments (below) on the back a little pizazz. The Holiday Best Hostess set is perfect for your Fall needs as well as Valentine's Day. 1st card for Little Sis

For the past couple of years I have participated in a Secret Sister Swap on SCS. And this is my first card for my new little sis. This round goes from Sept - Dec, 2009. I had to have the set Autumn Days but once I got it, didn't know what to do with it, even now months later :) So I sat down with some Stampin Successes in hand and my current IB&C and finally found some inspiration and a great card to CASE (Copy and Share Everything). I also used some of my precious Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, the new Soft Suede and Dusty Durango in-colors and the Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon!!! Added a little sentiment from Simply Said, and there you have it. Enjoy!
