Goodies from my Big Sis

Here's the goodies I recently received from my Big Sis for Feb, I love how she really personalized everything, and even showed off my C at a workshop yesterday and already have someone wanting to do a Girl Scout class based on it.

So perfect for me and to show, now to go hang it up, so it doesn't get messed up!

Thank you Big Sis!!

Weeks 7 & 8

Projtec 365, I can't take credit for Week 7, this was a pre-done layout I think I got from my mom a few years ago, but it fit the week, the pictures and the colors perfectly, and uses up stash - woohoo!!

Week 8: This is from the Petals & Paisleys SU Double Sided DSP
I think it really came together well with my pics and colors, as usual most of the pics are of my little monkey!

Days 40-42, Project 365

Day 40: Why the heck are Little People in my shoes? Oh yea I put them there, Maddy got caught in the act :)

Day 41: So here's are little speed racer, great at right turns, although we try to get her going the other way, because when you enjoy Nascar there's only one direction to go. So she runs around the island now yelling "Left Turn, Left Turn" we gently correct her and tell her she's doing right turns, or urge her the other direction. She's trying out her new Nike's, so here's the cute part. We went to Kohl's last night, and Chris was trying on shoes, so she had to. So I said ok, you want to try on the Nike's? She goes Nike, OOoOOoOOooo, a kid after my own heart, I will turn her into a shoe nut yet, of course we think she may already be, she picks out what shoes she wants to wear whenever we go out (even if they are slightly inappropriate (i.e. sandals in the winter), but I figure if she actually went to the trouble of putting them on and they are on the correct feet, I go with it :)

Day 42: Here's Maddy helping Daddy out in the garage and loving it, by loading up her wheelbarrow with wood and handing him his tools. He is very appreciative of her help!!

Project 365, Week 6 Layouts

Here is my Week 6 Layout, really came out nice, again using that free chipboard set my mom scored at Joann's. And finally used a full length rub on on my sheet! This was from the Love and Happiness, SU SAB 2007. I also used Crystal Effects on top of a lot of the embellies on the Left Side Page, also a first for me.

I really love how I am using items I have only bought and coveted, plus I am actually learning how to use them and how well they really work for some really neat effects.

Feb 5, Day 36, Project 365

Well after rummaging through the closet to find a mitten for Maddy before we left the house, I knocked off a couple of Chris' pilot hats onto the floor, in my hurry I didn't put them back right away, while doing some dishes, Maddy came running back towards the kitchen proudly sporting his hat, backwards, it was just too darn cute!

Week 5, Project 365 Layout

Loving this project, you will notice I am missing a picture, but I thought it was wiser to continue printing multiple pics on a piece of photo paper rather than waste a sheet, so today or tomorrow I will print out the picture for this and re-upload with the completed layout.

All the embellies was from a kit my mom picked up for me at Joanns' on cleareance, when she tried to ring it up, there were som issues, so the lady got the manager, and they came over and just gave her the kit for free since there was no valid sku, so my mom got 2 one for her and one for me, it's a neat kit, over 1400 pieces of chipboard, about 30 sheets of designer paper, pages of stickers, and it all coordinates, so it's been fun using it up.

From My Big Sis, DDSS Round 13

Isn't this just the cutest card, I got this in the mail from Big Sis, and just had to show it off, it uses some of the items found in the Recent SU Valentine's Day Bundle. I just love how she put it all together, and think it would be also delightful as an Anniversary Card.

Day 33, Project 365

Well here's Maddy's Valentine gift from her Auntie Mike (don't ask on the name) :) I decided to take the gift out of the package and by mistake left it on the table in it's nice wrapping. Well Maddy had no issue taking off the ribbon and unwrapping the gift, I think she must have thought she was out of practice since she hadn't opened any gifts in a couple of weeks.
Isn't this just an adorable shirt, her Auntie did good!!

Day 32, Project 365

So you may think I have missed a few days, but I haven't , I am just all caught up on my layouts, so figured until I was ready to print out this weeks pictures I better put them on my blog so I can remember why I took the picture :)

So here's Day 32, Feb 1, someone (Maddy), got caught with her hand in the M&M jar. That little sneak just pulled a stool up to the island, climbed up and went to town. She did this while Chris and I were concentrating on a very intense game of Trivial Pursuit :)

Project 365 - Week 4 Completed Layout

Here's Week 4 of Project 365, commemmorating Chris' birthday I used the SU Creative License Simply Scarppin' Kit, it's the same kit I used last year to scrap Chris' birthday so I thought it was only fitting. Overall, it was a great week!

Project 365 Day 21-24

Day 21: So I goofed up on my last post, and put the wrong day up there, hard to read the captions on the screen when they are that tiny
So I thought I would share my Target Dollar Spot Find, what a blast, might have gone a little overboard, but I have a little to share with others now :)

Day 23: I so soooo soooooo badly wanted to post a pic of my SU Spring Summer catty, but frankly I was so thrilled to have these swaps done, they took forever, that well, I just couldn't put the Catty at the top of my day. Soon it will be posted, when I get a little more time to go through it all, but sharing this accomplishment was way more worth taking a picture of, now mind you I did take a picture of my catty too, but I just couldn't do it justice, guess I couldn't find my mojo with it or something, or was just tired of waiting for it.

Day 24: It's Chris' birthday, poor guy is/was stuck up in Anchorage by himself, even Deb left him for the week, but scheduling had a different idea, and decided to assign him a trip this morning, to you guess it - CHICAGO :) So rather than making his cake tomorrow, like I had planned thinking he would be home for dinner on Monday, I had to make it today. Had a little help from Maddy who wanted to be deeply involved, mainly by eating the Reese Peanut Butter Cups (which she can unwrap like a pro), and sticking her fingers in the cake, I got her before she actually managed to do that part though. I made a new icing, Peanut Butter Cream Cheese. Chris is a peanut-butter-a-holic. So that is the base of the cake. Then in between the layers I did a smidge of the frosting, and a light layer of raspberry jam (homemade by us from this past summer). It's also a marble cake. So then I saw some crumb donettes by hostess, and thought 1 would be great for the pitchers mound to raise it up a little. Then I thought we needed a dirt effect instead. So I crumbed up the other 4 (ok there were 5 but I had to try one out), put a little cocoa powder in with them to make them darker, and made dirt between the bases. I think it came together ok, not one of my best, but I know he will love it, I just hope the mix of flavors comes together!

Project 365 Days 19-22, Day 21 to come

Day 19: I just love how a fresh dusting of snow makes everything so sparkly, the view from the front of our house is really nice since for now our builder has gone under and we have a beautiful view of the farmlands (just off to the side are houses and another neighborhood, but you would never know it by this view)

Day 20: So I don't know what's gotten into me this week, but I decided I really needed to focus on cleaning, and what better way to start than by changing the sheets and making the bed. And it has stayed that way almost all week :)

Day 22: Today I watch a couple of boys and Maddy thought it was past time to teach the 9 Month Old, Collin, time to vacuum, he did a mighty fine job too, he actually went on for quite a few minutes, next time I will put the chair on rollers so Maddy can push him around and get the whole floor!!
Posted by Picasa
ps. had a little goof, Day 22 ended up in this post, and I just don't feel like moving it, between have to bat off maddy and just having to concentrate too hard to do it, I just didn't think it was worth the move :)

Proj 365, Days 17 & 18

Day 17:
Well, when someone decided to wake up for her nap, she thought the basket of fake food should just go down the stairs??
So the poor basket is just lying at the bottom of the stairs, empty, and little miss is at the top, slowly clearing off each step by either pushing items down or just throwing them down more stairs. I actually left the mess so her daddy could check it out when he got home, her only saving grace is that she did help me pick up every item and put them back in the basket. I just had to chuckle though at this first time event involving this basket.

Day 18:
I just don't think we will be doing any grilling anytime soon. Besides the snow covered grill, it's still way to cold to be outside!!!
