Hi All, here are a couple of the ornaments I will be putting on display at my Fall Stamping Party held on Nov 15 and Nov 18.

These are very quick and simple to make. For both you just need some of your favorite holiday colored DSP or Cardstock, the Pretties Kit, and some ribbon.

For the first one you will also need the Ornament Punch featured in the Current Holiday Mini. It's such a fun punch and I plan to show you a few more card samples made with it as well.

To duplicate either of these projects you will need the following supplies

Halloween Hybrid Card

This is my card for a monthly swap I am in, I don't usually make Halloween cards, but am so pleased with how this one turned out. I actually used My Digital Studio to print out the Cast A Spell DSP and also the spider and hat, as I don't have the Eat, Drink and Be Scary stamp set. I then stamped the cat and Spooky Nights sentiment from the Halloween Firghts Set in Jet Black Stazon. I also sprayed the background Old Olive paper and Perfect Plum Cardstock with a shimmer spray made from our new Frost White Shimmer Paint and 70% Alcohol mixture. It looks so cool.

The center panel is popped up with dimensionals and I used the word window punch to punch through the top piece and stamped the Spooky Nights sentiment on the inside (using the Stamp A Majig for perfect placement). And the frightful fence wheel was the perfect thing for the piece of Perfect Plum, also rolled on with Black Stazon.

Ok so this post is a little disjointed, but I am still trying to get with it.

Another MDS creation

Here's another creation using MDS.  This one I will be sending off to the printer, to complete my Stampin' Up! MDS certification course.  What's great about MDS is it allows me the chane to use Stamps, DSP, embelishments that I do not already own.  So I had a nice time playing with the Winter Post stamp set, and elements from the Jingle SS Kit.

Inside of cover

Right side of inside

The back cover will be white, with the Stampin' Up and MDS logo's as required by SU.

I can't wait to get the actual card back in my hands and see how well the elements compare to actual cardstock, DSP, etc.

To create this project all you need is your own copy of MDS
Item # 118108          Price $79.95

You can order this directly through my website by clicking the shop now link below, or call/email me with your orders.

Goodies for my Little Sis

Well this is what I worked on this weekend, a nice package for my SCS secret sis.
I found this great tote on Lyssa's blog, it was so easy to put together and very quick, really I mean it. Ok well the tote itself was quick, but deciding to dye my pretties flowers and then add shimmer paint to them has taken forever to dry. I have no clue why reds take so long to dry out.

Well to make this tote, you need a single sheet of DSP, a piece of coordinating cardstock, some fab and tons and tons of ribbon sticky strip!!! Then embellish as you desire!! I did use Riding Hood Red DSP, I know retired, but I have to use it at some point, and of course used the coordinating ink too, again may as well use it!

To cover up where the ribbon ends met in the back I put a cute message from the Simply Said stamp set and punched out with the modern label punch, then added some halfback pearls again from the pretties kit for a little extra bling.

The card uses all the same supplies as the tote, except this time I used 1/4" grosgrain to accent.

Really easy peasy.

Also to dye the pretties flowers I decided to just smoosh them directly into my ink pads. Then added the frost white shimmer paint to the entire certainly celery flower, and just to the tips of the riding hood red. I really layered it on so it's actually still drying. Blinged these up with the rhinestone brads from the pretties kit and voila!

Card and Bag Together

I told you this thing could hold a ton, a good sized bag of Candy Corn, a bag of sponges and pen.  Plus a ton of Whisper White CS run through Texturz Plates.

Happy Mail day!!

Well who doesn't love happy mail, and today was the best I have had in a while.  I received 2 cards, and Maddy got a huge package too.  Well first about my cards!

I belong in a couple of different swaps on SplitCoastStampers.com one is a secret sister swap on the demo side and I received my first card from her today, she does beautiful work!!  It's one of my favorite sets, that I don't own, called Thoughts and Prayers, it can be found in the 09/10 IB&C on page 52.  It's a set of 8 with a gorgeous tree and many sentiments perfect for those times when you just don't know what to say.  I am not sure which DSP was used but it sure is pretty!!!

This next card is part of a monthly group I have participated in for a year now, every 6 months we change up the groups a little,  We send out cards to each person in the list and get a card in return, so happy mail comes all through the month.  I just love this Halloween card, one because it's awesome, and 2 because I stink at these kinds of cards :)  So here goes.

So there you have it, a couple more cards that made it to my mailbox today.  I just love them both!!

July Christmas Card Challenge Entry

Don't let the title fool you, I really am that far behind on the Christmas Card challenge I joined on SCS. But after playing with my new goodies and casing a card from the SU September SS magazine, I got it done. I just love the new Ornament Punch and matching stamp set, as well as the shimmer paints, they are so yummy. The new Texturz Plate - Perfect Details was a nice addition to give the piece of Soft Suede and the ornaments (below) on the back a little pizazz. Shimmery Ornament Punch Vase

Here's a card I am putting in the mail for my little sister tomorrow, I used the new SU ornament punch from the Holiday Mini but turned it upside down and trimmed off the top to make it a Vase. But first stamped it using a stamp from the Delightful Decorations stamp set in the new Shimmer Paint (both also in the Holiday mini). Used the Autumn Days stamp set for the flower, after painting it with craft ink, Rose Red and Always Artichoke. Dipping it into Iridescent Ice EP. Adding some of the Circle Fire rhinestone brads, all layered on Basic Grey, Bermuda Bay and Very Vanilla CS. And stamped my little "sparkle" sentiment in Basic Gray Classic Ink with the Warm Words Stamp Set.

Shoe Shining Maddy using MDS

Well here's my first layout using MDS, without using a template.  This took me about 1 hour to do this morning, probably because I based it on a sketch challenge featured on SCS here
I know it isn't fancy, but bear with me as I learn this and all the capabilities of the program, as I am completely new to digi scrapping and creating.

Enjoy!

First Hybrid Card

This is my first attempt at a Hybrid card using the new Stampin' Up! "My Digital Studio" (MDS) program and SU brads.
I used one of the card templates, printed it out on Whisper White Cardstock
Decided it wasn't enough, so went to town.
Added a layer of Crushed Curry, using the Ticket Corner Punch as a little mat job
And layered it onto a Chocolate Chip card base. I also lined the inside with the same size piece of Crushed Curry and used the Eyelet Border punch along the bottom for interest. I did the inside layer so you could actually use the card and write an internal message.

I also used the Flower Fusion (felt flowers) and Clear Rhinestone Brads, and Earth Element Brads for the flower centers and a Small Fire Yellow Brad. The Ruby Red brad I covered with 2-way glue and dipped in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

Enjoy, I am not sure I like the look of printed elements on CS, but figured I would give it a whirl.

Our first attempt at the BAB die

So I got the Build a Bear die and basic clothing die, and decided to let Maddy watch the "magic" of creating it and of course help me with it too. I (if you couldn't tell) let her choose all of the colors and accessories, we then decided to do some accents with the new shimmer paint from SU.

This was fun, and I can't wait to make some magnetic versions for her as a little treat for trips, etc.

3rd Set

I got my copy of My Digital Studio last night, and used the Sunny Days template to create these in less than 2 hours, most of that time was trying to learn how to manage photos and get the text in - easy peasy!!!!

And loving it!

1st card for Little Sis

For the past couple of years I have participated in a Secret Sister Swap on SCS. And this is my first card for my new little sis. This round goes from Sept - Dec, 2009. I had to have the set Autumn Days but once I got it, didn't know what to do with it, even now months later :) So I sat down with some Stampin Successes in hand and my current IB&C and finally found some inspiration and a great card to CASE (Copy and Share Everything). I also used some of my precious Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, the new Soft Suede and Dusty Durango in-colors and the Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon!!! Added a little sentiment from Simply Said, and there you have it. Enjoy!

Goodies from my Big Sis

Here's the goodies I recently received from my Big Sis for Feb, I love how she really personalized everything, and even showed off my C at a workshop yesterday and already have someone wanting to do a Girl Scout class based on it.

So perfect for me and to show, now to go hang it up, so it doesn't get messed up!

Thank you Big Sis!!
